Echoes to Every Action Movie Ever
The echoes of the past come back to haunt him
The echoes of every action thriller come back to haunt us

Echoes (transforming poem)

Echoes from a silent past
Moments that weren’t meant to last
Times that happened by so fast
That my soul is now aghast
So my life again recast
For the safety of contrast
Far from things I used to know
Where the past is not amassed
Here I follow promised flow
Past the things I should have asked
Past unknowns that frighten so
To avoid being harassed
Brand new me again I sew
All old past again I throw
My eyes closed to what I passed
Cut away those things in tow
There I was this brand new show
With another summer’s glow
Followed by these clouds of woe
Echoes from so long ago

A man tries to put the past behind him unsuccessfully in this transforming poem. A transforming poem is a composition were a constant theme changes. In this case it is a rhyme. The rhyme sound "ast" transforms to"O". Notice that the echoes may have transformed but they haven't "changed".

Arlene passed on in 2002. As one would expect it all was unreal. Through the help of my family, friends and associates I  made it through the horror. To keep my mind occupied I busied myself with more service work. Into my life comes Jeff. Jeff was great. He drove me here and there. He helped when he could. A meal, a drink, companionship and such, Jeff was there. It turned out Jeff had gone through a painful divorce. I had just lost my wife and I seemed to be holding up well. Jeff hoped he could find my secret and that some of me could rub off on him. It took months for this to surface. There was an ulterior motive for Jeff's actions. I sensed one of the causes of his divorce. At the end of the day Arlene and I had a pretty good relationship. One who's joys can overcome any sorrow. Jeff. on the other hand had created a past who's echoes would come back to haunt him.

As we get older in life, like me. so much disappears. There really were ice cream parlors where one could dance. There was a french bread that was only available in San Francisco. I know, because I enjoyed them. I enjoyed those school days. I enjoyed being 20 (both times). I enjoyed being a parent. Sure, I miss them and those times. But aside from looking ahead and enjoying the present, I have so many good memories it's hard to feel sad. Sure, I had my share of bad times, and when there is some extra time they may get a chance to pop their heads. Plus, I feel it would be disrespectful to the good times to be sad. Let us all live like that. Make good memories. Good moments. They will be a wall against sadness. Make the most of the people, things and places around us now. We never know when or if they'll be gone. Plus every positive memory is a strong, solid step for our future. We truly are wonderful. It all starts here. For a better tomorrow remember this: Enjoy.

With that said let's go to the movies

Action Films are a major genre type includes films that have tremendous impact, continuous high energy, lots of physical stunts and activity, possibly extended chase scenes, races, rescues, battles, martial arts, mountains and mountaineering, destructive disasters (floods, explosions, natural disasters, fires, etc.), fights, escapes, non-stop motion, spectacular rhythm and pacing and adventurous heroes. All designed for pure audience escapism with the action sequences at the core of the film.

Picture He Held to Ticketing A Cop
A man is arrested by a picture
A police arrest turns into a picture session

Picture He Held (English sonnet)

He turned to a picture he held too tight
Here was his meaning purpose for the day
All he had dreamed of wishes away
Here was his bride and source of delight
She was the heartbeat which set him astray
She was the glow behind all hopeful light
Ponderous marvels could this one ignite
What took tomorrow and turned it to grey
As proof of her love she’d do anything
Desires which he had were filled to the brim
The whole world she’d change if smile it could bring
Yes even her self if times got too dim
And here was the truth which brought on this sting
The picture he held had turned into him

A desire held too tight causes a picture to change. As most sonnets of this type, this one is divided into two parts. The first part (the quatrains) describes his feelings for her. The second part (the couplets) discuses what she will do for him.

Here was a scenario that was fairly common during my time. Jeff met this girl, Margaret. She was everything to him. He loved everything about her. She loved him too. Jeff and Margaret got married. They lived in paradise, for a while. The  rose colored glasses of love began to wear off. They began to argue. Margaret thought, to avoid arguments, give into Jeff. To make matters worse, Jeff made most of the important household decisions. He would even assume Margaret would like his vacation plans and other entertainment. Margaret loved Jeff very much and went along, without complaints. One day Jeff woke up and found the girl he loved was gone. In her place was a reflection of himself.

Sound familiar? Believe it or not, to some extent, it happens to each of us throughout life. Ever stand in line? Were did we learn that? Sometimes we have to act a certain way for a job. Do we ever find our self changing to meet a surrounding  or circumstance? Are these people still us? Some people find it easy (have no problem) changing as the circumstances calls. Others can't or will not. But even them... Let's face it. We are not the same person we were. Things effect us. Still, we are individuals. A gift to the world. A special unique gem, that will only be here once. It all starts here. Hence, how important it is to know and accept our self. What is even more fascinating is that the more we know our self, the more we understand others. Our self confidence inspires others. Proof that we are all connected. We are connected to everything. But right now let us focus on here. Let us focus and Enjoy.

Now for our listen enjoyment, classics with a twist: Albinoni :Adagio"

Met your doppelganger yet

Adelaide’s School of Medicine collected data on 8 facial measurements for 4,000 people. They didn’t find one match. According to this study published in the Forensic Science International, the chances of two people with eight of the exact same facial features meeting was less than one in a trillion. However, the study measured the exact distance between these facial features, not ‘descriptive’ traits like a flat nose. This simply means while it’s almost impossible to find someone who looks exactly like you, there’s a higher chance of finding two people who look eerily similar at first glance.
Talk about eerie, watch what happens when a cop pulls over a victim. "Tricking a Cop | Rudy Mancuso"

He Waits His Moonbeam to Fist Full Of Fire
He waits for fire to take his night
He dances with fire through his night

He Waits His Moonbeam (Italian sonnet)

He waits his moonbeam in the quiet sky
There sitting in the fields of memory
One wonders at the marvel his eyes see
Beside the edge of all this by and by
So gently gazing off to distant tides
A carefree hush does kiss this tranquil scene
There at the streams of dreams as yet unseen
He waits his moment time has brushed to sides
What is the season blooming in his heart
Which sets him drifting very far away
He waits for something mid his passing day
He waits for something once again to start
Then in the darkness of his endless night
He spread his wings of passion and desire
And sets the moonbeam of his dreams on fire
And dawn will find there’s nothing left in sight

A lover waiting his desire in the magic of the night is explored though this Italian sonnet. This sonnet uses a subtle tool to drive home the ending. "He waits..." The sonnet starts with these words. The second quatrain ends with these words. These words are echoed in the third quatrain. When sonnet ends there is nothing left in sight, the mood is amplified by removing these words.

This poem was inspired by one night long ago. One of San Francisco's hidden secrets is Mountain Lake. It is a very nice and scenic stroll during the day. But in late summer through autumn the lake becomes a magical light show of the stars and the moon. Arlene and I enjoyed moonlight picnics, Mountain Lake was just one of the scenes for these moonlight picnics. One night there was this well dressed guy sitting on a nearby bench. Though he was staring in our direction, he wasn't look at us. Nor was he enjoying the show the lake was putting on. He was lost in an enchantment somewhere else. Arlene noticed the flowers by his side. This deserved a toast of champagne and a kiss. When we again looked at the bench, he was gone. In the shadows there walked a couple. When Arlene and I were finished we passed the bench. There was a single rose.

A gift of one rose turned a special moment to even more. Who knows why he did it. It was not charity. It was adding something extra to a couple's evening. I have done things like this myself: Given freely to strangers, without the expectation of any return. (These were not charities or people asking for anything.) This practice of giving to strangers is quite trendy at certain Starbucks. That smile (seen or unseen) on a a stranger's face, that we created, feels good. This act of giving does not have to involve money. It could be opening a door, offering a seat, a helping hand, pointing out something requiring attention, a random act of kindness and things like that. It could be as simple as a smile or, "Nice day." It feels good. And guess what. It's contagious. Oh yes, there are "party poopers" who spoil things. But waves of goodness will wash them away. Imagine that day, when people help each other as a natural order. It all starts here. It starts with me (and you too). Me becomes we and bigger and bigger. And it feels good. As we join to make a better world there is only one thing left for us to do: Enjoy.

Jasmine's Flower to Asian Bachelorette
A lover is overwhelmed by a flower
A flower is overwhelmed by lovers

Jasmine’s Flower (English sonnet)

Just like some special moment set aside
A while which only kisses can perceive
Soft memories of once were make-believe
My little flower upon your scent I glide
I float with vales of stardust in my eye
Not sparing daring dreams which linger near
Entwining arms of Joy which I held dear
Soft sighs as life so gently floats on by
Forever I am captured in your scent
Like lovers yearning for another kiss
Or friends brought back together by a song
With you the air of youth is never spent
Enticing hearts who wish to enter bliss
Recalled by jasmine’s flower I so long

A lover is overwhelmed by a flower or two in this English sonnet. As most sonnets of this type, this one is divided into two parts. The first half describes a feeling created by a flower. The second half has the flower being addressed directly. This sonnet is also an acrostic poem. Yes. the Jasmine, in this sonnet, is both a plant and a lady.

Arlene had this great receptionist job. I had just joined the Masons. Arlene's boss was a Mason. He wanted to congratulate and welcome me into the fraternity, as well as rewarding Arlene for all her good work, by joining him and his wife at his house. The plan was that Arlene and I were to stay at his place and on the following day go out on his yacht (he was wealthy). We drove up on Friday. It wasn't a house. It was a estate. After a very enjoyable evening, Arlene and I were taken to a guest bedroom. The next day was very hot. Perfect for yachting. It was about 10:00 before we saw our host. The smell of jasmine was heavy in the air. So the extra hours was a gift to Arlene and me. Our host apologized for staying in bed so log. Over breakfast, I told him it was okay. It gave me a chance to enjoy the scent of jasmine in the air. It turned out he likes jasmine too. He told me we can go yachting anytime. If I really wanted to see something, follow him.We took a seat on his patio. There we were, two teenage men in their 40's ogling two beauties. who were our wives. It was amazing, our seats on that patio allowed us a wonderful view of his wife as she was showing Arlene around. The ladies knew we were watching them and flirted with us. When the ladies finally came to sit on our laps, our host said, " Do you want to see something?' He made a phone call. Over time, people started to arrive. All of a sudden, magically, it was a party under the intoxicating air of jasmine. It was an unbelievable afternoon and evening: the people, the music, the food, Arlene, the jasmine... The following day the weather was cooler. On the promised yacht cruise I remember thinking, "We can go yachting anytime."

It's nice to be rich. What about Arlene and me? We were party to it all. How many of us couldn't call to meet a friend or two? (Relating to the story.) "Money can't buy everything." We've all heard that one. But it sure can lift the burden of the things we can't do from our minds. To be honest, I am not rich, but I have had Chevron and the Masons pay to make my ideas reality. I've seen what money can do. I've also seen what people can do. Ordinary people, like me. Let's put the tales aside. Maybe money can buy anything. What is an "ordinary" person? Someone who can potentially achieve anything? What else were we told? The truth is: It all starts here. What we believe. We are truly wonders, who can enrich the worlds around us. And while we do, Enjoy.

How about a song: Mystic Diversions "A scent of Jasmine"

Now for a new episode of The Bachelorette

The Bachelorette is a reality television dating game show, owned by Warner Horizon Television, that debuted on ABC on January 8, 2003. The show is a spin-off of The Bachelor aired on the same network. The show offers the opportunity for a lady to choose a husband among eligible bachelors. Wong Fu Productions noticed that there too many eligible Asian bachelors.
To correct this, here is Wong Fu Productions' episode of The Bachelorette. "Asian Bachelorette"

A Tale A Dream to Continental Breakfast
A dreamer feasts on beauty
A traveler feasts on breakfast

A Tale A Dream (round)

Here was the marvel he was searching for
A flower which had bloomed on dreamers’ shore
And by her all he hoped for would he bare
For visions of this moment offered more
The flower sang of beauty oh so rare
A glow beyond all other’s scented flare
A proof that wonders happen was her sight
If ever there was heaven it was there
He rushed upon the source of his delight
From heart and soul came yearning hold this tight
To shape and form a timeless memory
And kisses past forever to ignite
Was in this endless ever’s fantasy
A tale a dream of lovers came to be
A summer’s blanket from the winter’s cold
A season for just one more kiss to free
For when he found her flower had grown old
A truth from youth his desires would remold
For what once was was destined to restore
For lovers of the moonlight to behold

A dreamer is lost in forever in this round. A round is a poem where one thing leads to the next. The ending leads back to the beginning. In this round the third line of each stanza forms the rhymes of the next stanza. The third line of the last stanza leads back to the first stanza. If the last stanza seems a little unclear, it is because "He" is being transported back to the beginning.

Arlene and I started as a team on the dance floors of the disco days. Before then, we were just crazy young lovers. Then came the dark times of bitter arguments. From there, we escaped into that large flat just as the disco era was blooming. Looking back, it was strange that years before Arlene had invested so much time in turning me into a dancer. It was as if she could sense that a time meant for us was coming. When we grew, it was more than dancing. I was drawn toward music. photography, creating. Arlene got into organization, communication, motivation and things like that.  Still we stayed strong and together. To us life was a dance. Just like on the dance floor, we could joined our differences to create more. Disco died just in time for us to become parents. As parents,we continued to grow, but more for the sake of the family. We still loved each other a lot, but it was different. Arlene and I wouldn't notice this difference until our parenting days had come to an end. Arlene and I looked at one another. Where had they gone? It was like: all of a sudden we were old. We were put in charge of parties for the masonic organization. The dances we threw brought back a couple we hadn't seen for almost 20 years. We were back. I guess the dance is like that.

As nature's creatures we follow a general order of things. We are born. We grow and learn. We seek out a mate. We have and raise children. And then what? For some of us the "general order of things" is pushed right to "And then what". The "And then what" phase can be a little confusing. Remember this, religion or no, we are only here once. Life, short or long, isn't over yet. There is still an endless possibility of things waiting for us. Haven't met a mate? Hang out with or make some friends. Want kids but no kids yet? Volunteer. Finished with the "natural order"? What do we want to do? What do you want to do? This should be the first and foremost thing that drives us. Sure, there are things out of our reach, but that doesn't mean that we shouldn't try. (Or make some modifications.) Plus there is so much more waiting. The new natural order for us is: we are born,we learn and pass on. In between Be... Do. Hear that clock ticking? It's saying Enjoy.

Which leads us back to the round: Michael Cretu "Moonlight Flower"

After all that, Are we hungry

The term "continental breakfast" is of British origin. "The continent" in Britain refers to the countries of continental Europe. A "continental breakfast" thus denotes the type of lighter meal served in continental Europe, as opposed to the "full" English breakfast. Many inns, motels and hotels now offer free continental breakfasts.
Jordan Peele, of Key and Peele, stumbled into one of these hotels. "Key & Peele - Continental Breakfast"

The Closet to First Contact
How the world changed when he met that someone special
How he must change to meet that someone special

The Closet (Shakespearean sonnet)

I weave for you a story of a boy
Whose loneliness would cause your heart to bend
Till then he never knew the taste of Joy
Till shadow in his closet turned to friend
They talked of all the wonders of the sun
And how it felt to join the birds and fly
Behind closed doors such magic could be spun
Enough to let his miseries drift by
Then came that day when boy was heading home
He met a girl who asked him for his name
From there they talked and let thoughts freely roam
Somehow their worlds would never be the same
When to his closet with such news to share
He realized his friend no longer there

A friend disappears when a ray of light enters a boy's life through this Shakespearean sonnet. Although this may be interpreted as a classic love sonnet, it is meant to be a story sonnet. What is interesting is the "the conflict stanza" (the third quatrain). Although it promises a bright new life. it also brings a death.

Here's a strange one. A tale Arlene shared with me, that her friend shared with her. Arlene would hang out with a friend from school, Alana. Alana and her brother were well off. Their family was wealthy. Even so. Alana and her brother both had jobs. One day Alana calls Arlene to tell her Allie (what she called her brother) was fired from his job. In all our years, Arlene and I may have bumped into Allie, but we never really knew him. Things got worse as Allie only left his house for necessities, like food and such. Though time, he stopped answering Alana's phone calls. His shopping schedule made it really hard to catch hum on the street. Alana was persistent and caught him once. Allie was polite but very short. He insisted someone was waiting for him. Allie's behavior became so disturbing his whole family became concerned. They were about to take some radical action, when all of the sudden Allie meets a girl. The two hit it off. A new and improved Allie emerges. No one pursued what had happen to him. Everyone was just happy to have him back. I met Allen (Allie's real name) and his fiancee, Rachel, at a dinner party held by Alana.

Who really understands how the brain works? We know so much and are making unbelievable strides. Yet, there is so much left to learn. To throw one (or more) wrench into the works, there is change multiplied by we are all different. Yet, for each  one of us, it all starts here. What we like. What we feel. What we experience. And on and on. With all our brain does, it s a marvel that more doesn't go wrong. But think about it. One of reasons we humans are still around is because it works; and works well. It is evolved to work well and improve. Yet every once in a while something goes wrong: depression, overactive imagination, underdeveloped cells. brilliance, just to name a few abnormalities. Sometimes a person is born with brain abnormalities. Sometimes they develop. Sometimes the brain can correct itself. Sometimes it can't. Let us keep in mind these are exemption or the natural effects of aging. Our brain is a wonder. We are a wonder. Armed with this marvel let us Enjoy.

Lovers' Rift to Mom Jeans
Couple explore love
Women explore jeans

Lovers’ Rift (sonnet)

Believe in timeless moments such as this
Where one by one each heartbeat ticks away
And scents so near have so much more to say
Entwined in vines of tender love we drift
And not a breath of wonder do we miss
The air we bare becomes a special tune
Whose memory in time will make us swoon
And call us back into this lovers’ rift
Believe that never flows through this abyss
How could forever move bliss from its sight
Together we add meaning to the light
Believe and feel our world begin to shift
Let’s bless what we believe in with a kiss
For could there be a far more fitting gift

Lovers drift to a world far apart from this one in this sonnet. From the traditional sonnets to the modern sonnets there are stepping stones. This is one of them. It stays within the realm of iambic pentameter. It makes its break (rift) in the rhyme scheme it uses: A/B/B/C A/D/D/C A/E/E/C A/C

What is a lovers' rift? It is a world apart from this one. A realm all their own. It can be as close as within a lover/s arms in a cuddling session or it can be a dream on some distant isle. Arlene and I enjoyed many of them, at home or drifting off somewhere. Our all time favorite was Carmel. To us it spelled romance. Maybe it was because Carmel was were Arlene and I got our fresh start or because of the magical experiences we shared there. Perhaps a touch of both. Although we liked the La Playa, we once had a chance to stay at the Sandpiper. The Sandpiper is a romantic bed and breakfast, with extremely cozy rooms. It is only a few step from the Pacific. Here is where the lover's rift kicks in. It was a clear, warm autumn evening. The sun had just set. Arlene and I went to explore the night. The sand was white. The water was clear and the wave were gentle. The stars seemed to dance on the water caressing the shore. All the light seemed to be on the dream by my side. A night truly made for us. We followed a whisper in a satiny breeze. And as we kissed soft music began to play We were gone.

Why the Sandpiper? What are the odds that at the sea shore the weather could be so perfect on that night? Where did the music come from? All good a fare questions, but not as important as the moment. I remember when my daughter first performed on stage. I could have let myself get distracted. How does she look? Did she make a mistake? Are people talking? A myriad of things to take my mind from what is really important. We can let our self become distracted. The world doesn't make it any easier. There is so much going on. Sometimes our mind wants an answer, a response, a resolution now. But now my daughter is performing, Now two lovers are off somewhere. A treasure trove of experiences that may only come once. Experiences meant for us. So. what can we do? Awareness. Be aware of how the mind works. Be aware of the distractions all around.  Be aware of now and Enjoy.

Are we ready for a lovers' rift: Vargo "Talking One Language"

Ladies and their jeans

The term jeans appears first in 1795, when a Swiss banker by the name Jean-Gabriel Eynard and his brother Jacques went to Genoa and both were soon heading a flourishing commercial concern. In 1800 Massena's troops entered the town and Jean-Gabriel was entrusted with their supply. In particular he furnished them with uniforms cut from blue cloth called "bleu de Genes" whence later derives the famous garment known worldwide as "blue jeans". Today jeans have become an important part of women's fashions.
Here to give us some insight are the ladies of Baroness von Sketch Show. "Baroness von Sketch Show | Mom Jeans | IFC"

The Stars And The Moon to Master Ken's  Social Experiment
The night bears witness to a dreadful incidence
Ladies are taught to escape a dreadful incidence

The Stars And Moon (English sonnet)

The stars and moon where all he could recall
Reflections of the pool beneath his feet
For now reality was in retreat
Towards remnants of a simple lovers’ squall
She said that all that once was is complete
A fact that he no longer could forestall
He still recalls the coldness of it all
A bitter cold now lying in the street
Was this the final future of a kiss
Was this the destiny of lovers’ vow
Was this the silence broken hearts have found
And there the stars and moon he could not miss
Which drift into a nearby gutter now
As he now drops his knife upon the ground

Madness and the stars and the moon consume this English sonnet. As most sonnets of this type, we are presented with two sections. In the first section we have a confused lover. We are given some clues as to what led to his confusion. The second half deals with clues of the nightmarish conclusion. It starts with a maddening ostinato: "Was this the". The stars and the moon, usually reserved for lovers, bear witness to a gruesome kiss.

No, I didn't know any murders. The closest was Steve and Muriel. They were a happy couple who lived close to Arlene and I. Their kids went to school with ours. It was nice to have dinners together and enjoy playing a table game or watch a movie together while our kids played. We met because I worked with Steve at Chevron. Muriel also worked at Chevron, but in a different department. Arlene and Muriel shared a lot of the same interests. Everything went along without anything unusual. One day, at work, Steve tells me and our work companions, he's leaving Chevron. He had another job opportunity somewhere else. A couple of days later, Arlene tells me she talked to Muriel on the phone. She and Steve were getting a divorce. Steve went crazy. It was a time when building climbers and building jumpers (with parachutes) were a novelty in San Francisco. Both were illegal. Steve became both of these. Or so he tried. It seems that his attempts were met by guards or police. I remember, the guys at work laughing at one more of Steve's disasters. It was as if he was notifying the authorities of his illegal intentions. The last time I saw Steve, he said he was moving to Houston, Texas. Muriel became a department manager. She never got remarried.

Amazing what stress can do to a person. I am no authority, so I am hardly qualified to tell a person how to handle or avoid theirs. In fact vast research is going on on the subject. The challenge is that there are many forms and types of stress. Not all stress is bad. Good stress, also called eustress, can propel us forward and help us achieve more goals, ultimately leading to more happiness, success, or fulfillment. Some people like stress. in the euphoria they feel when the stress is removed. Some stress is good for the body. Some stress can weaken the immune system and cause high blood pressure, fatigue, depression, anxiety and even heart disease. To make matters even more complicated, we are all different. Stress has moved beyond doctors, beyond psychiatrists to stress specialists. If we are worried about or just interested in stress seek out a stress specialist or one of their organisations. Remember, life is to live and Enjoy.

Back to the sonnet: Wojciech Kilar "Love Remembered"

Knowing how to defend our self helps lower stress

More than 1500 years ago, Vegetius, a Roman writer on military tactics wrote, “Few men are born brave; many become so through training and force of discipline.” What relevance does Vegetius have for us as self-defense instructors?  A lot.  By encouraging repetition and stress inoculation, we can better prepare ourselves to defend themselves in a real attack. What does this mean?
Let's just follow Master Ken, of EnterTheDojoShow. as he teaches women to defend themselves. "Master Ken's First Social Experiment"

The Garden to Extinguished
One person searches for his love
One person finds his love

The Garden (English sonnet)

He searches through the garden of his mind
To find that flower which defines his dreams
She’s always so much closer than she seems
What lonesome wonder makes a man so blind
He searches there along the empty streams
Where memories are lost and left behind
And future hopes are not so well refined
While somewhere someone’s there to mend his seams
She watches from the silence of her heart
Which yearns again to cry out from the dark
But fears unknown response if he might hear
As long as there are dreams they’re not apart
Within some gardens lovers leave their mark
Which brings some special meaning to a tear

A garden which holds one of love's mysteries is explored by this English sonnet. As most sonnets of this type, this one is divided into two parts. The first part finds a person searching for his love. Notice, his love is so strong that he endures harsh challenges. In the second half we have a maiden. It is unclear where or when she is. (Let our imagination go.) The second half also contains a wonder of love.

All of us, the people Arlene and I went to school with, were getting married. There were a few who thought marriage, at least right now, was not for them. Brian was not one of these. He wanted to get married. The problem was: he didn't have a girl in his life. Arlene suggested that he concentrate on the things he enjoyed and he will bump into someone who shared his interests. Brian believed and trusted her. Enter the picture, Anna. Did I say that there were no girls in Brian's life? To Brian, Anna was more. They were good friends since who knows when. Strangely, she was going through the same thing as Brian. They met other people. People who were not quite right. After each let down Brian and Anna would share the short falls with each other.  Anna got seriously ill and was hospitalized. Brian was her best visitor. He would stay with her as long as he could. He would bring her things to raise her spirits. Arlene was there when Anna was released. From the bed to the wheelchair, Anna slipped. Brian caught her. Something happened, even Arlene could see it. Love! They eventually got married and are still together.

An amazing thing, our brain. Do we have any idea how complicated it is to eat with a spoon? Of course not. It is something we learned long ago. The mechanics of it stored in our brain. We can use a spoon without thinking about it. We can even use a spoon while doing other things. This is natural and pretty amazing. But how many other things have become spoons? The brain, just doing its job, stores away so many things. Some for the good, but there are some things... Ever notice the glories of the moon on a star clad night with the scent of our love in the air? These are things our brain would simply process and store. We must actively get our brain to take in differently. We must actively open our brain to take in and become a part of the world around us. As we exercise our great gift the better it gets. And we should exercise it to experience the wonders all around to the fullest. There in that amazing gem shines the light to Enjoy.

What does this fire in my heart mean

If you’ve ever felt a warm glow inside when in love a study has shown that emotional states are associated with specific sensations regardless of a person’s culture. The research visually shows that heartbroken people really do feel an ache in their chest, weak with sadness or feel happiness spreading over their entire body. Being in love makes a person feel a warm glow everywhere.

Take My Hand to Help Me Help You
One lover wants to take his desire away
One lover wants to help his desire

Take My Hand (round)

Take my hand if you dare
You may have to dance
You might have to glance
You may even learn to share
Think you might have a chance
Make a dream or two
Set visions anew
The souls that we enhance
What holds you from my view
Do you need a kiss
Embrace I have missed
In all is there I feel for you
Can I share a world of bliss
Just take my hand
Help me so I stand
And place your faith in this
First my friend, take my hand
For you will I share
All the things we dare
In that day we’ll understand
On that day we will be grand
But for this moment take my hand

An eternal promise in an outstretched hand forms this round. A round normally has no beginning or end. In this round the middle rhymes (lines 2 and 3) form the outer rhymes of the next stanza. The last 4 line stanza leads back to the first stanza. This round has an coda. Why?

I was fortunate to have been a part of a unique period. My childhood and upbringing was in a male dominated world and household. So did Arlene. She went to a nun run girls' school, so she was more brainwashed (about male domination) than me. Arlene's father was a chef. No one was allowed in his kitchen. Arlene couldn't cook. I had to cook for my brothers and sister. I made extra money being a houseboy. Arlene couldn't clean house as good as me (though she did help). This was a start of a different order of things. There was only one problem with our "Palace in the Sky". The love birds in it were too content. It wasn't until we moved into that giant flat of our Disc Days that things started to take off. Arlene and I started to "really grow" as individuals. I got into this and that. Arlene got heavily into business. One would think this would grow us apart. But we had learned a secret: 1 + 1 = more. By growing as individuals and rejoicing in our differences we became more. A household which already challenged traditional female and male norms, built form upon a framework. As a team, Arlene and I were pretty impressive. A few of our team accomplishments were: Arlene activating a Parents Teachers Association with me working at her side. Arlene and I proving to a soccer league that young girls and boys athletically were the same, The team of Arlene and Martin bringing about a change in the Freemason  (a male organization). Our single greatest contribution was a son and daughter with an open view of role ladies and men can contribute to society. So for this moment someone took someone's hand.

It is my opinion that this is still a male dominated world. There are lady leaders. It is my opinion that these ladies are acting mainly like men. In the history of our world, there were  matriarchal societies (the Kush, the Sitones and the Mosuo for example). Their priorities were much different than the male run societies. Consider the differences between ladies a men. Men generally are more logical, analytical, rational. Ladies tend to be more intuitive, holistic, creative, integrative. Men are more aggressive than ladies; more combative and territorial. In general, men are more interested in objects and things whereas ladies generally are more interested in love, communication, beauty and relationships. These are just some of the differences. In a perfect world, these differences go hand in hand. Not a male run world. but a world run by what is best in humans. That world is coming. We are wonderful. We are the builders of a better day,so Enjoy.

Let's go back to two young lovers: Picture This "Take My Hand"

Some men just do not understand women

Here is a list of what men don't understand about women:
1. Why You Say The Opposite Of What You Mean
2. Your Fascination With Shoes
3. Why You Won’t Tell Us What’s Bothering You
4. Why You Won’t Order Your Own Fries
5. How You’re So Good At Multi-Tasking
6. How You’re Able To Sleep Like That
7. Why You Ask About Our Exes So Much
8. How You Expect Me To Remember All Those Details
9. Why You Ask Questions When You Know You Won’t Like The Answers
10. Why You Say You Don’t Have Anything To Wear
Paul Logan has decided to hire a boys group and take a more direct route to this challenge. "Logan Paul - Help Me Help You ft. Why Don't We [Official Video]"

A Haunting Whisper to What Happens In The Girls Locker Room
What is the secret behind a whisper
What is the secret of the girls' locker room

A Haunting Whisper (Martin verse)

A haunting whisper in the night
A memory of past delight
Is hiding somewhere out of sight
To try and fix what wasn’t right
Familiar voice it calls to me
With promises to set me free
And dreams of all that yet might be
A brighter side to destiny
And as it sang throughout the night
What hidden secrets were set free
The once was lost now came to be
Strange memories I couldn’t right
Familiar voice came over me
With all the victims of delight
Till teardrops come to ease my sight
These footsteps of my destiny
I saw the way to ease the right
It took my hand and gave me sight
Was this the price of my delight
A haunting whisper in the night

The secret of a whisper is unmasked in this Martin verse. I created Martin verse in 2010. It is an easy form to use .Come up with four words that rhyme. Now come up with four more. Next, in four lines mix two of the first words with two of the second set. Do it again with the remaining words of the first and second sets, Lastly, use the first four words in reverse order. There, we have written a Martin verse. Don't forget to let me know so I can guide people to your site.

Like most couples. Arlene and I would have our scuffles. When they happened late at night, they were almost comical. (Except no argument is really comical.) I would take my pillow and grab a blanket and sleep on the couch. That will teach her. The next morning, Arlene made sure I saw her in her nightgown or pull over. Then I realized, I lost again. Did I learn? I did mention before that I was a slow learner. Every now and then, Arlene would have mercy and sing out from the bedroom. It wasn't as if she was really singing. It was the way her voice touched my heart. All at once, I was transported back to the beginning. All of the precious moments, the feelings came back. The magic of the future came to me. It was an amazing feeling. Even more amazing, it happened in a time of its own. I forgot everything, except that I wanted to be with Arlene. As time went on and we got older, every now and and again, I would hear Arlene's song to my heart. It was always fresh. It seemed like it was always like the first time. But how could I know?

Far be it for me to talk. Even after being brainwashed with Chevron's positivity sessions, I would still argue with Arlene. In reflection it seems now to have been over silly things. But maybe not. We live in a world of opposites. For every one thing there is its other. We cannot fully appreciate the good without at least a knowledge of the bad. It is believed, by some, that if one thing is eliminated its opposite will disappear. In a world of positives some negatives must build up. How do we get rid of it? First, and most importantly, know it's happening. Know that negatives are building up inside each of us. The second part is a little more complex. It is complex only because we are individuals and so are our negatives. Rest assured, like a shower or a bath, there is a way, or ways, of freeing ourselves of our negatives. And don't we want feel good? It's a wonderful world. Breath it in and exhale and Enjoy.

Now let's listen to the wind: Govi "Voices In The Wind"

The forbidden is revealed

One of the world's most top secret places is Iron Mountain (The World’s Official Archive). It is the home to some of the world’s most priceless treasures, 8 security guards holding AR-15s guard its entrance. It’s called Iron Mountain. To go deep into the mine requires traveling about 22 stories beneath the surface of the earth. Fortune 500 companies store databases here. Major banks back up their information here. Iron Mountain contains 27 million original negatives of the world’s most famous photos. Ranging from iconic photos of Albert Einstein to Rosa Parks. Also, major record labels store original master recordings here. Think Elvis and Frank Sinatra. And last but not least, Bill Gates‘ collection of over 100 million images rests inside.
Another top secret place is the girls' locker room. Now only, the doors are open. Here to give us a tour is Rachel Levin of rclbeauty101. "What Happens In The Girls Locker Room!"

The Settling Of A Dream to How To Save Money
A dream teaches people a secret
A young lady teaches us how to save money

The Settling Of A Dream (English sonnet)

A dream had settled somewhere in the night
But people passed it by without a care
They couldn’t see their future lying there
They didn’t have the time to set things right
The dream soon caught the light of youthful stare
A child of hope this wonderment of sight
With dream in hand what worlds can’t we excite
Together we have so much more to share
But people passed him by in their old way
They wouldn’t see their future passed their nose
They didn’t have the time to save the youth
A dream had learned to cry one fateful day
Together people held each other close
Together sharing something more than truth

The evolution of a dream was the tears of this English sonnet. Here is an example of using an English sonnet to tell a flash fiction. In the first half a dream appears. No one notices or cares except a boy. The dream fills him with possibilities. The second half begins with no one caring. This sets off a conflict with a tragic conclusion. The dream learns something new and the people are brought together. The nature of the dream is kept unclear.

When I bought my house it was a very tight neighborhood. It was the type where people looked out their windows to see what's happening on the block. Sunny Sundays were street sweeping days. We would clean the streets and areas in front of our houses or at least pretend to. In actual fact it was a call to come out and share in the latest gossip. And out we came, armed with our fully loaded coffee or tea. Since Arlene and I were the new ones on the block, we got to hear the old stories. (A couple of times.) It seems the block wasn't always this friendly, except for Ken. Ken was a retired gentleman, who's wife had passed. He was always helping or offering to help someone. He thought he was handsome and he might have been decades ago. He was a polite flirt. His flirting and his misconception of how he looked often brought on laughs. A compliment for Ken. Ken got ill. Alzheimer's. It seems he was a big time volunteer at his church. They sent someone to take him to and from church. When he got back home neighbors would talk to him. When the weather good, his caretaker let him stay out a little longer. This is how Sunny Sundays started. Or so the legend goes.

And so it goes. I never met Ken. His story was told to me. I told it to you. I'm sure I wasn't the only one that Ken's story was told to. I enjoyed listening to the tale, as I'm sure people enjoyed telling it. Who knows how this effected our day? Who knows how our attitudes effected others? And on and on. The message is: We effect things. Yes each of us matters. The world is different because we are here, and will be different after we are gone. But we're not completely gone. So the question is: How do we want to be remembered? This is a personal choice. There is no right or wrong answer. There is only one judge (Two, if we are religious.) If that isn't important enough, bear in mind, we effect eternity. And of course there is our old friend, change. Make no mistake, this is our time. Use it. Carve out a story for ever. Most of all, Enjoy.

Here to tell us about the power of dreams: Celine Dion "The Power Of The Dream"

Now let's learn how to save money - from a cheapskate

The easiest way to save money is to have a set amount automatically deposited into your bank account each pay period. Another way is consider becoming a cheapskate. The average cheapskate is generally known to be good at saving money.
Here to give us some cheapskate lessons is Liza Koshy. "HOW TO SAVE YOUR MONEY!!"

The Forest to Jimmy's First Travel Video
Tankas of discovery
Jimmy discovers his travel plans were somewhat different

Dawn (tanka)

Dawn awoke again
Shedding hope upon the world
She whispered to me
Come out and find the magic
That I have waiting for you

The Forest (tanka)

Dark was the forest
Were the people heard a roar
Never heard before
So they cut down every tree
An still couldn’t find their fear

Never Lost (tanka)

Searching through the sands
For that something never lost
Tearing through a soul
Lover crying in the dark
Cannot hear the melody

Discoveries awake in these tankas. Tankas are easy to compose. A traditional tanka is a thirty-one-syllable poem, written in a single unbroken line. A form of waka, Japanese song or verse, tanka translates as “short song" and is better known in its five-line, 5/7/5/7/7 syllable count form. They do not have to rhyme. Modern tanka poets are successfully challenging the traditional style.

Arlene was not an outdoors person, when I met her. San Francisco is a beautiful city, but it was Arlene's prison. I may have had a poor childhood, but I did get exposure to many of California's natural wonders. Giant sequoias are the world's largest single trees and largest living thing. They grow to an average height of 50–85 m (164–279 ft) and 6–8 m (20–26 ft) in diameter. They can be found in Muir Woods, only about 12 miles north of San Francisco. A sequoia is an amazing sight. I had the privilege of introducing Arlene to sequoias. She was so awestruck that it took all day to complete a one mile hike. Lake Berryessa is only 2 hours from the city. It has warm calm water and oceans of scenery: the best of which became Arlene in a bikini. Lake Berryessa became Arlene's favorite lake. Also about 2 hours from San Francisco is the Russian River. Russian River is approximately 110 miles long and extremely family friendly. It became her favorite river. Ironic that a person's prison was so close to her loves. It was my joy to open my joy to my joy.

We live in challenging times as far as nature is concerned. Environmental concerns like global warming, acid rain, air pollution, urban sprawl, waste disposal, ozone layer depletion, water pollution, climate change and more. According to ScienceDaily, anthropologists predict the next major extinction is coming in 40 year. This extinction will be due to human population and our need and demands on the environment. What can we do? Much more than we think. First learn what;s going on. Make a personal commitment to get involved. By learning and committing a world of possibilities open up to us. Contact and support leaders who share our concerns. Do not support leaders and businesses that don't. Make our voices heard. Get involved (the best we can). Know that we will make a difference. We can save our world. And as the sun rises to another day made better by us, Enjoy.

And now a song I hope we will enjoy: Cusco "Ghost Dance"

If we want to see the world don't make it like this
